Licensing
Clear usage rights for every project. See exactly how your business can use the images before we start, so the quote never holds a surprise.
The basics
What a licence actually is
When you book a shoot, you pay for the production: planning, shooting and editing. The licence covers something different: how, where and for how long your business may use the finished images.
You pay for use, not just the shoot
The same photo is worth more on a billboard than on a single Instagram post. A licence matches the price to how you plan to use the images.
Copyright stays with me
You receive the right to use the images. Ownership of the copyright is never transferred, at any tier. That is standard practice in professional photography.
Everything in writing
Every quote comes with a licence agreement that spells out the tier, channels and territory. You know exactly what you are getting before you sign.
The tiers
Choose how far your images go
Each tier builds on the one before it. Not sure which one you need? Tell me where the images will appear and I will advise you.
Personal Included
For private car owners. Share your shoot on your own social media, use it in your own portfolio and print it for your own walls. No business or commercial use.

Quoted per project
Every licence runs without an end date and covers the Netherlands as standard. Dealership Media packages include Commercial Tier 1; Tier 2 and Tier 3 are available as upgrades.
Pricing
How the licence fee is set
The licence is a percentage of the production fee, so it grows with the size of the project. It always appears as its own line in your quote, with the percentage shown.
Where the images appear
Own channels, paid advertising or print. The wider the use, the higher the tier.
Where in the world
The Netherlands is standard. Use in other countries, or worldwide, is added to the quote.
The reach of your campaign
A national campaign gets more from the same image than a single local post. Larger reach starts above the base percentage, so smaller clients always pay fairly.
Always included
With every licence
Delivery in a private online gallery, ready to download in full resolution.
A signed licence agreement that states exactly what you may do.
A credit to @itsdcs.jpg on social posts, so the work stays traceable.
The licence becomes active once the invoice is paid in full.
Room to grow
Yours to keep using
No end date
Your licence never expires. Use the images for as long as they serve you, with no renewals to track and no surprise invoices later.
Upgrade at any time
Started with your own channels and now want to run ads? Move up a tier whenever you need to. You only pay the difference between the two tiers.
FAQ
Common questions
Do I own the photos after the shoot?
You own a licence to use them, as described in your agreement. The copyright stays with me. In practice this rarely limits you: choose the tier that matches your plans and you are covered.
I only need the images for Instagram. Which tier is that?
Organic posts on your own business account fall under Commercial Tier 1. If you later want to boost a post or run it as an ad, you can upgrade to Tier 2.
My car is private. Do I need a commercial licence?
No. Every private shoot includes the personal licence for your own social media, portfolio and prints. A commercial licence only applies when the car belongs to a business or the images are used to advertise or sell something.
Can I share the images with my agency, dealer network or partners?
Not by default. Passing images on to third parties is arranged per project and added to your agreement. Mention it when you get in touch and I will include it in the quote.
Does my licence expire?
No. Every licence runs without an end date. As long as you use the images within the tier you chose, you never need to renew or pay again.
